Gli strumenti per l'analisi del testo letterario italiano (poetico e prosastico).
Conoscenza e comprensione Gli studenti che seguiranno il corso acquisiranno le competenze di base necessarie sia per comprendere la strutturazione dei testi letterari in poesia e in prosa (i fondamenti, cioè, della retorica, della stilistica e della stilistica), sia le conoscenze fondamentali relative alla tradizione dei testi e alle principali problematiche filologiche: in tal modo essi saranno messi nelle condizioni di comprendere come l’analisi delle strutture formali e linguistiche del testo sia indispensabile e preliminare alla sua corretta interpretazione. Capacità di applicare conoscenza e comprensione Gli studenti verranno abituati ad avvicinarsi al testo letterario partendo dalla sua configurazione materiale, anziché dalla sua interpretazione contenutistica, teorica o attualizzante: sulla base di esempi concreti di analisi formale e linguistica (sul piano retorico, stilistico e metrico), ricavati da testi diversi per epoca e per genere letterario, impareranno ad analizzare il testo dall’interno, come “oggetto” portatore di significato, e a cercare i fondamenti dell’interpretazione nelle sue strutture comunicative e formali. Autonomia di giudizio Gli studenti saranno stimolati a maturare la capacità di analisi del testo letterario in poesia e in prosa, al fine di poter condurre analisi autonome anche su testi diversi da quelli esaminati a lezione. Abilità comunicative Gli studenti saranno in grado di comunicare le proprie conoscenze con l’appropriato lessico tecnico e con la precisione argomentativa richiesta dall’analisi formale del testo. Capacità di apprendimento Gli studenti acquisiranno la capacità di interpretare i testi letterari sulla base delle loro strutture e strategie formali, nonché di ricostruire, dove possibile, le linee-guida dell’elaborazione autoriale e le modalità concrete della sua attuazione.
Conoscere ciò di cui si parla. Avviamento alla lettura del testo poetico. I fondamenti dell'analisi formale e metrico-retorica dei testi poetici italiani attraverso lo studio di alcuni esempi tratti da epoche diverse della nostra storia letteraria.
Le lezioni saranno organizzate in modalità prevalentemente frontale, ma potranno anche prevedere esercitazioni con il diretto coinvolgimento di gruppi di studenti.Le lezioni consisteranno nell'analisi di testi poetici, con particolare riguardo agli aspetti strutturali, formali, metrici, retorici e linguistici. Talora, si ricorrerà anche a strumenti informatici, sia individuali (cellulari, tablets), sia collettivi (videoproiezioni). Nel caso in cui, per ragioni legate all’emergenza sanitaria tuttora attiva, il corso debba essere erogato a distanza, le lezioni saranno di tipo misto (sincrono/asincrono). In ogni caso le lezioni avranno luogo nei tempi previsti dall’orario ufficiale e, a prescindere dalla modalità di erogazione, saranno tutte registrate e messe a disposizione degli studenti. La piattaforma di riferimento per l'erogazione della didattica a distanza sarà Microsoft Teams.
METODI DI VALUTAZIONE L'esame consisterà in una prova orale della durata di circa 30 minuti, nel corso della quale lo studente sarà chiamato ad analizzare uno dei testi studiati durante le lezioni e, all'impronta, un testo poetico diverso e a lui presumibilmente ignoto. Nel caso di didattica a distanza, la prova sarà svolta utilizzando la piattaforma Microsoft Teams e rispetterà gli stessi criteri della prova in presenza. CRITERI DI VALUTAZIONE Lo studente deve far prova di padroneggiare gli strumenti di base per l'analisi formale e metrico-retorica del testo poetico, e di saperli applicare anche a testi diversi da quelli esaminati durante il corso. CRITERI DI MISURAZIONE DELL'APPRENDIMENTO L'attribuzione del voto finale è in trentesimi. L'esame si intende superato al raggiungimento della soglia minima fissata in 18/30. Una valutazione insufficiente è determinata dalla mancanza di una conoscenza dei contenuti minimi del corso. I criteri di misurazione sono progressivi e funzionali al diverso raggiungimento delle conoscenze e delle abilità fissate dall'insegnamento e sono così definiti: 18-20: conoscenza elementare dei temi proposti, sufficienti abilità espressive; 21-23: conoscenza corretta ma generica; espressione non sempre appropriata; 24-26: conoscenza abbastanza buona, ma non sempre completa e dettagliata; 27-29: conoscenze molto buone e soddisfacenti; abilità espressive e argomentazione adeguate e ben articolate; 30 e 30 e lode: conoscenze solide, complete e adeguate, applicazione critica all’esposizione di metodi e argomenti, mature e compiute abilità espressive.

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING Students who follow this course will acquire the basic skills necessary both to understand the structure of literary texts in poetry and prose (the foundations, that is, of rhetoric, and stylistics), and the fundamental knowledge related to the tradition of texts and to the main philological problems: in this way they will be able to understand how the analysis of the formal and linguistic structures of the text is indispensable and preliminary to its correct interpretation. ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING Students will be trained/coached to approach the literary text starting from its material configuration, rather than its theoretical and current content interpretation: based on concrete examples of formal and linguistic analysis (rhetorically, stylistically and metric), drawn from texts of different epochs and diverse literary genres, they will learn to analyze the text from the inside, as an "object" bearing meaning, and to look for the foundations of interpretation in its communicative and formal structures. AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT Students will be stimulated to develop the ability to analyze the literary text in poetry and prose, with the aim of enabling them to conduct an autonomous analysis on texts other than those examined in class. COMMUNICATION SKILLS Students will be able to communicate their knowledge with the appropriate technical language and with the argumentative precision required by a formal analysis of the text. LEARNING ABILITY Students will acquire the ability to interpret literary texts based on their formal structures and strategies, as well as to reconstruct, where possible, the guidelines of authorial elaboration and the concrete ways of its implementation.
To know what we are talking about. To learn to read the poetic text. The foundations of the formal and metric-rhetorical analysis of Italian poetic texts through the study of some examples taken from different eras of our literary history.
The lessons will be organized mainly in a frontal way, but will also include exercises with the direct involvement of groups of students. The lessons will consist of the analysis of poetic texts, with particular focus on the structural, formal, metric, rhetorical and linguistic aspects. Sometimes, IT tools will also be used, both individual (mobile phones, tablets), and collective (video projections). In the event that, for reasons related to the still active health emergency, the course must be delivered remotely, the lessons will be of a mixed type (synchronous / asynchronous). In any case, the lessons will take place within the times set by the official timetable and, regardless of the method of delivery, they will all be recorded and made available to students. The reference platform for distance learning will be Microsoft Teams.
ASSESSMENT METHODS The exam will consist of an oral test lasting about 30 minutes, during which the student will be asked to analyze one of the texts studied during the lessons and, in the same manner, on an unseen poetic text presumably unknown to the student. In the case of distance learning, the test will be carried out using the Microsoft Teams platform and will respect the same criteria as the face-to-face test. EVALUATION CRITERIA The student must prove to master the basic tools for the formal and metric-rhetorical analysis of the poetic text, and to be able to apply them also to theses other than those examined during the course. LEARNING MEASUREMENT CRITERIA The final mark is attributed out of thirty. The exam is passed upon reaching the minimum threshold set at 18/30. An insufficient assessment is determined by the lack of knowledge of the minimum course content. The measurement criteria are progressive and functional to the different achievement of the knowledge and skills set by the teaching and are defined as follows: 18-20: elementary knowledge of the proposed themes, sufficient expressive skills; 21-23: correct but generic knowledge; expression not always appropriate; 24-26: fairly good knowledge, but not always complete and detailed; 27-29: very good and satisfactory knowledge; adequate and well-articulated expressive skills and argumentation; 30 and 30 with honors: solid, complete and adequate knowledge, critical application to the exposure of methods and topics, mature and accomplished expressive skills.
