Donatella Armentano was born in December 17, 1972 in Castrovillari (CS), Italy. She received her Degree in Chemistry, with honours, from the University of Calabria, in February 27, 1998 and her Ph.D. in “Chemical Sciences” at the same university in January 18, 2002, working on the synthesis and structural characterization of coordination compounds exhibiting interesting magnetic properties. From 2002 to 2004 she was a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Chemistry, University of Calabria. Since 2005 she is Researcher at the Faculty of Science of the University of Calabria.
Her research is aimed at the synthesis and X-ray structural characterization of coordination compounds that could be suitable candidates to
behaves as molecular magnets, useful for future applications.
At the present she also runs her research activity in the field of biocrystallography working on the X-ray structural characterization of proteins.
