research fields

Since 1991 Prof. Aquaro has devoted to laboratory and clinical research in the field of microbiology and virology. Prof. Aquaro research is mainly focused on the study of viral replication and pathogenetic mechanisms, antiviral compounds activity and development, virus genetic evolution, antiviral drug resistance mechanisms and their clinical significance.
