Title: Turbulence and small-scale dynamo in the intracluster medium
Day&Time: Thursday October 15th - 5PM CEST
Abstract: Galaxy clusters are the largest and most perfect plasma laboratories in the Universe, which tell us about the growth of cosmic magnetism and the mechanisms to accelerate cosmic rays. I will review a few recent key results in the numerical representation of these objects, with the final goal of understanding the physics behind the formation of the spectacular observations of non-thermal components in galaxy clusters, obtained by recent radio observations.
