The objectives of DICI consist in providing innovative scientific and technological skills and knowledge to train highly specialised researchers and practitioners capable of solving complex problems using advanced tools and methods.

The topics of DICI are those characterising the civil engineering and building-architecture engineering, as well as those typical of all scientific-disciplinary sectors concurring with the profile of industrial engineer.

The training activity is structured in order to allow the acquisition of specialised and transversal skills, i.e. linguistic and informatic skills, about the systems for financing, the research management and valorisation of the achieved results.

Training acquired by PhDs of DICI will give them the opportunity to carry out professional and research activity in the public and private sectors, during the stages of design and management of the works, use and marketing of the final product.
